EXP and Leveling System
Upon entry into Moat, players will choose either a ranger, a wizard, a rogue, or a knight. Their class is determined by what they’re immediately drawn to. This is who swears fealty to the great Frog. This represents them in the storyline of Moat. Player jerseys will have their chosen class on it, and they’ll be able to see the character’s art only after choosing their class.
Gaining EXP is achieved by playing ultimate. Plain and simple. The more complex breakdown of EXP rates is available to players within the club. But the gist is that not all EXP is the same.
The Frog might give specific quests to specific classes during a tournament. If they can achieve those, they’ll receive bonus EXP. Going to pickup will give some EXP. Going to tournaments or participating in leagues will gain EXP. Players will submit their EXP proofs through their login on the Moat website.
Even players not currently online can still earn EXP while playing for non-Moat teams. They just won’t be able to get as much EXP as players who are online, currently playing on a Moat squad. Loyalty is rewarded here.
Various leaderboards show all time EXP leaders, yearly EXP leaders, or class EXP leaders. Upon reaching certain levels, players can unlock new titles or special art jerseys with their character on it.
Players with more EXP increase their eligibility to play on certain squads.
Each player’s EXP will go towards a team-wide accumulation of EXP, where, at certain points, new chapters of the story are unlocked. Starring their characters.
